In the BeChallenged raft race teams must first compete in order to earn the components with which to build their raft. This build up phase of the day is designed to involve activities which have been chosen to focus on the specific objectives of the day.

All of the great civilisations had to start somewhere. Does your team have what it takes to begin your own miniature empire? In order to survive and start your new civilisation overseas you will need to decide what materials you will need, compete for resources, engineer your new building and plan your human resources. The development of your civilisation hangs in the balance; can your team make it happen?

Who will have the steadier hand? The greater ideas for creativity and innovation? Will your team be able to ensure that every element is going to work, it might be a good idea to do some prototyping before the final event!
