Program: Quarantine
Venue: Q Station, 13th & 14th March 2009

The 13th & 14th of March saw the Quarantine Station at Manly's North head, turn back the clocks and briefly return to its former glory. 130 Westcon employees had been quarantined, suspected of carrying the deadly virus GFC (Global Financial Crisis). The BeChallenged team were brought in to aid with the development of the antivirus ‘RGAC', which when induced would allow Westcon to Retain, Grow, Acquire and Challenge.
Under the cover of darkness on Friday 13th, the group were assembled and informed they had been confined to the lower regencies of Q Station to minimise the further spread of the deadly virus ‘GFC'. The continued development of the antivirus ‘RGAC' was dependent on the group surviving through the night. Teams were provided with 1000 Nortel dollars and limited access to our very own hardware store. The following 45 minutes was a medley of bargaining, shop lifting and highly creative structural engineering, the beach was converted into a make shift quarantine station and we left confident all teams would survive the night.
Saturday brought a different challenged for the Westcon team; they had successfully survived the night and continued the development of the antivirus. Further development and testing could only be continued by a select few. Teams were provided with a GPS unit and set off to navigate their way around Q Station, completing a variety of activities and successfully collecting clues to the whereabouts of a limited supply of the antivirus. A tightly contested afternoon saw all teams locate the sacred chest containing the antivirus ‘RGAC'. Later that evening the orange team were successful in unlocking the chest and inducing ‘RGAC', it was going to be ok, the further development and future of Westcon were in good hands.
The opportunity to work with such an enthusiastic group over two days was in itself a unique experience for the team at BeChallenged. Westcon were totally committed to the Quarantine program and all activities and challenges they faced. A fantastic group and we looked forward to working with Westcon in the future.
