The prize may not be a million dollars and you may not cover all the corners of the globe but the fundamentals of the race remain the same: the team that shows superior speed, cunning and teamwork will come out on top of the rest. Roadblocks, detours and yields all become part of a successful day in which groups learn a lot about themselves.

The challenge

 

As each team tears open its envelope to reveal their first challenge they will be consumed by completing the task as quickly as possible so they can get their next location envelope. Each location could be separated by a street or half a city…getting there is half the fun. The transport between locations could be as varied as Harley’s, Water Taxis, Trains, Ferries, Helicopters or Sea Planes.

Route Markers - Route Markers are the flags that mark the places where teams must go. Most Route Markers are attached to the boxes that contain clue envelopes, but some may mark the place where the teams must go in order to complete tasks.

The challenges are vast and varied and designed to appeal to a variety of strengths of individuals within your team. Challenges will take the form of:

 

Image Detours - A Detour is a choice between two tasks, each with its own pros and cons. Teams must successfully complete one of the tasks described on the clue in order to receive their next clue.

 

Image Road Block - A Roadblock is a task which has to be completed by the entire team. Teammates have to choose roles, once this has been done they cannot switch.


Image Intersection - To complete an intersection task two teams must join forces for the duration of an activity.

 

Image Yield - A leading team is given the opportunity to force another following team to yield by completing an extra activity before continuing.
 

 

Teams will face challenges and will need to display speed, accuracy, strategy and teamwork. In this outdoor activity teams will be pitched against one another in a race for the ultimate prize.

 

Each Amazing Race will be specially designed to allow teams to face a unique set of challenges, which relate specifically to the venue and the objectives of the program.
