The Amazing Race

The prize may not be a million dollars and you may not cover all the corners of the globe but the fundamentals of the race remain the same: the team that shows superior speed, cunning and teamwork will come out on top of the rest. Roadblocks, detours and yields all become part of a successful day in which groups learn a lot about themselves.

Amazing Race Team Building at the Harbour Bridge

The Challenge

As each team tears open its envelope to reveal their first challenge they will be consumed by completing the task as quickly as possible in order to get their next location envelope. Each location could be separated by a street or half a city…getting there is half the fun. The variety of transport available between locations could be as varied as Harley Davidson, water taxis, trains, ferries, helicopters or sea planes.

At each checkpoint teams will face one of the following challenges:

Detours - a Detour is a choice between two tasks, each with its own pros and cons. Teams must successfully complete one of the tasks described on the clue in order to receive their next clue.

Road Block - a Roadblock is a task which has to be completed by the entire team. Teammates have to choose roles, which once chosen cannot be switch.

Intersection - to complete an intersection task two teams must join forces for the duration of an activity.

Yield - a leading team is given the opportunity to force another following team to yield by completing an extra activity before continuing.

Teams will face an array of challenges and will need to display speed, accuracy, strategy and teamwork. In this outdoor activity teams will be pitched against one another in a race for the ultimate prize.

Each Amazing Race will be specially designed to allow teams to face a unique set of challenges, which relate specifically to the venue and the objectives of the program.
