Around the globe there are thousands of examples of animals that work in teams in order to survive and prosper. In this program participants are asked to learn from the examples nature provides. Recognising that most people haven’t taken the time to stop and visit the zoo since they were kids the Sydney Safari gives you the chance to get back there and along the way will remind you of the value of working as a team.

The challenge:


Teams of participants begin the day with a number of group tasks that are designed to maximise team bonding and create a co-operative atmosphere at your choice of harbour-side venues. During these exercises teams are working to acquire cryptic clues that will be used later in the zoo. After this introduction participants are transported around the harbour by water taxi to the zoo, or for thrill seekers and the young at heart a joy ride in a jet boat is an alternative way to wash away the worries of the working week. Upon arrival at the zoo teams board the Sky Safari cable car to the top entrance of the zoo to begin their safari.

From this point on teams are required to complete tasks and decipher clues in order to create a photo album of their team with various animals.   At the end of the day teams are required to present their photos and the winning team will be judged by how accurately they have worked as a team to decipher their clues and produce the winning shots. The Sydney Safari is a fantastic way to demonstrate the importance of teamwork whilst allowing participants a chance to enjoy the beauty of Taronga Zoo and the harbour.
