The challenge
As part of a tribe, each player is given a 'buff', a piece of material that can be worn as an armband or headband. There are buffs for each tribe in the tribe's representative colour.
Each tribe will undergo a number of team based challenges. Challenges are competitions that consist of endurance, problem solving, teamwork, dexterity, and/or will power, and can be designed to suit the objectives of the program.
In the game of Survivor there are two types of team based challenges:
- Immunity Challenges - the tribes compete for immunity necklaces, meaning they get to stay in the game for another round during the infamous Tribal Council. Each time a tribe is successful they will earn an immunity necklace which they will be able trade for immunity in a round of Tribal Council.
- Reward Challenges - the tribes compete for luxuries that are not essential but make the day easier and more fun. These could include different transport options to locations or a luxury lunch.
Your teams ultimate goal is to gain as many Immunity Necklaces as you can in every challenge your team takes part in to give your team the best chance of being the sole survivor.
Tribal Council is the ultimatum for every tribe and every individual. As teams take the plunge into the realm of reality they will need to remember that fire is life.
The tribe has spoken…
