The challenge:
Community challenge requires teams to complete a series of teamwork tasks in order to earn parts of a bicycle that they then assemble. However this is not as easy as it may seem as participants are limited by rules that force the team to co-operate and work cohesively. At the end of the day when the bikes are complete they will then be presented as a charity gift to young children.
This is not only a fantastic way to improve staff morale but it also gives the business an avenue for supporting the local community in the process. As the team building exercises progress throughout the day the participants not only learn to operate as a team to achieve a common goal, they are also required to demonstrate leadership and communication skills to complete their tasks. At the end of the day when the teams can finally present their hard won bicycle to a smiling child the sense of team pride and satisfaction around the room make this an event that nobody will ever forget.
